Built on real projects, not just theory

We started apiwisevoltis in 2019 because we kept seeing the same problem. Businesses needed mobile apps that actually worked, but most development shops either overengineered everything or delivered half-finished products. So we decided to do it differently.

How we got here

From a two-person operation working out of a shared office space to a team that's shipped over sixty apps across Australia and beyond.

2019

The beginning

Started in Canberra with one mission: build mobile apps that people actually want to use. Our first client was a local cafe owner who needed a loyalty app. It took off faster than anyone expected, and we realized we might be onto something.

2021

Growing the team

Brought on three more developers and moved into our Weston office. By this point, we'd worked with retail businesses, healthcare providers, and even a couple of startups that went on to raise serious funding. Each project taught us something new about what works in mobile.

2023

Expanding our reach

Worked with clients across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. We also started focusing more on industries we understood deeply: hospitality, education, and professional services. Turns out specializing a bit helps you get really good at solving specific problems.

2025

What's next

We're focusing on longer-term partnerships now. Instead of just building apps and handing them off, we're sticking around to help businesses grow and adapt. Because honestly, the first version of an app is just the start.

The people behind the code

We're a small team, which means you'll actually talk to the people building your app. No account managers playing telephone. No offshore handoffs. Just direct conversations with folks who care about getting it right.

Callum Thorburn

Founding Director

Started coding iOS apps back when Objective-C was still the main language. These days, he's split between client strategy and making sure our projects don't go off the rails. Still writes code when projects need an extra pair of hands.

What drives us

Look, we're not trying to revolutionize anything. We just want to build apps that work well and help businesses grow. Simple as that.

But we've learned a few things along the way that shape how we approach every project.

Direct communication

You'll talk directly with the people building your app. We don't believe in layers of management that slow everything down and muddy the message.

Practical solutions

Sometimes the fancy new framework isn't what you need. We pick tools based on what actually solves your problem, not what's trending on developer forums.

Long-term thinking

We build apps that can grow with your business. That means clean code, good documentation, and architecture that won't fall apart when you need to add new features six months down the line.
